Researches, requests, tracks, and inspects trade specific material and repair parts required to conduct Operations and Maintenance (O&M) as well as new construction projects.
Exhibits superior workmanship and focuses on a quality product. Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure tasks are accomplished correctly and safely.
Completes tasks in accordance with the local Environmental, Safety and Health directives. Assists leadership with the mentoring of new-hire personnel to develop appropriate skill sets. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
Researches new material and repair parts to establish Catalog Numbers and submits requests to add items to the Consolidated Material Warehouse (CMW) catalog team.
Requests, tracks, receives, inspects and counts items and records results either manually or using computer database (Maximo).
Verifies delivery inventory by comparing items requested to physical counts and investigates discrepancies and / or annotates errors on the invoice.
Researches Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) websites to obtain electrical certifications as needed.
Works with the Procurement team to track and expedite requisitions.
Turn-ins unserviceable material and parts and requests new items as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED :
Will operate office equipment, PC computer and printer, fax machine, calculator, and reproduction machines
WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Work is generally conducted in a work center administrative environment. However, duties may occasionally involveworking outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for somesituations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and SafetyRegulations and post policies PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
Must be able to work in extreme climaticconditions where temperatures often exceed 130F.
Must be able to lift 25lbs continuously and 50lbs intermittently.
Must be able to work overhead with arms raised for extended periods.
Work requires heavy lifting,stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical,chemical or biological agents
Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from country of origin for the purpose of obtaining and maintaining a valid Military or Kuwait Driver’s License
Ability to recognize certified markings on HVAC components required
Must have knowledge of supply systems and inventory techniques Experience :
Must have understanding and knowledge of AR 735-5 Property Accountability Policies
Requires four (4) years of experience as a HVAC Technician
Requires four (4) years of experience dealing with the requisition of material
Prior experience with ULLS-S4 and / or ULLS-G property control programs preferred
Military Standard Requisition and Issuing Procedures (MILSTRIP) skills preferred
Familiarity with ARIMS filing system desired Skills :
Basic knowledge and understanding of inventory and property accountability principles and methods
Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and other related applications
Requires excellent numerical and analytical skills
Ability to use independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives
Requires basic planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
Must have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to recognize and quickly resolve customer issues, follow directions, and work independently with limited or no supervision required
Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork is required
Exercises discretion and good judgment with an ability to understand the effect of decisions in the section
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, organizational and planning skills
