Kuwait Airways (KU : IATA, KAC : ICAO) is the official national carrier of the State of Kuwait. Established in 1953 as a private company, the airline was initially 50 per cent owned by the Kuwaiti government.
In 1962, the government assumed 100 per cent ownership, making it the longest serving, official state carrier operating from the Arabian Gulf Region.
Kuwait Airways employs over 4,800 people, and the head office is in the heart of Kuwait City, close to Kuwait International Airport (KWI).
Kuwait Airways is recruiting for the role of Senior Manager Taxation. Your tasks will include but not be limited to :
Coordinate with HO departments and the stations to set up detailedprocesses to ensure compliance when a new tax is introduced or when a newstation is setup.
Coordinating at HO level to incorporate system modification andcreation of accounting nominal for newly instituted taxes in outstations and HOas well as coordinating with HO Departments and Financial reporting division inmeeting Kuwait Airways Branch compliance requirements.
Set up a process of regular review to ensure direct and indirecttax liabilities are identified / settled correctly and returns filed on time.
This would also ensure that station claim all eligible tax reliefs, benefits,deductions, tax credits on a timely basis.
Provide all support and guidance to the stations when there areaudits, review, investigation by local tax authorities.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in thefield of Taxation in airline or in the 4 big audit firm. A minimum of 4 years leading small to medium sized team in one of the big audit firms in the field of taxation or be the head of the tax department in an airline.
Strong execution skills, analytical andproblem solving skills.
Self-motivated, able to prioritizemultiple tasks, work under strict deadlines and exhibit a team player attitude.
Proficient in English and Arabiclanguage.
