HAZWASTE Technician - Kuwait
PAE is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician for a position supporting the Air Force on a program in Kuwait. The Hazardous Waste Technician will be responsible for ensuring hazardous waste collection and storage duties included in contract PWS IAW international, US, Air Force and PWS requirements.
The Hazardous Waste Technician will maintain high level of customer service to support and other duties as assigned by Program leadership.
Other duties include, but are not limited to :
Monitoring all vehicles for any potential spills, leaks, etc. and reporting per PWS to Vehicle Maintenance Department leadership and / or others as directed by Program leadership.
Monitoring and reporting all spills to Fire Department leadership and / or others as directed by Program leadership.
Clean-up spills IAW international, US, Air Force and PWS environmental regulations.
Transport hazardous wastes to the base storage area.
Pick-up hazardous wastes and recycling containers as directed by Program leadership and / or Customer including during inclement weather.
Maintain all hazardous waste collection areas and recycling bins and areas per PWS.
As required, responsible for the control and safe operation of any job-related equipment and supplies.
Responsible for preparing Incident Reports of any and all work-related problems, work orders and incidents as directed by Program leadership and PWS.
A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission / project in scope and nature including supervisory experience.
Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.
MUST have previous experience acquiring, handling, storing, using, and disposing of HAZMAT.
MUST have knowledge of the techniques, equipment, materials and regulations regarding hazardous waste and refuse.
Valid US or local driver's license and US passport.
Active Secret Clearance.
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere environment.
Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum;
climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
