To meet and greet customers at the store, provide relevant information and answer their questions and inquiries and ensure that cashiers operate their checkout stations effectively and efficiently
The main purposes for this job are :
Greeting and answering customers’ questions and inquiries and providing information relating to the store
Assisting manager in supervising the cashiers at the counters; scheduling their work duty rotation, ensuring proper performance and, as needed, operating the cash register
Providing training for new cashiers
Issuing receipts, refunds, exchanges, trading stamps as well as redeeming food stamps and coupons to customers
Monitoring checkout stations to ensure that they have adequate cash available and are staffed appropriately
Compiling, preparing and maintaining reports and records.
Ensuring that relevant equipment is in good operating order and properly assigned to carry out the required work.
Answering the telephone and handling complaints when necessary
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should possess the following :
Experience in managing and troubleshooting in-store cash operations
Previous customer service experience in large retail organization
