Job Introduction :
G4S is responsible for the provision of aviation security services at Kuwait International Airport (KWI), including passenger terminal main security checkpoints, departure gates, and staff and vehicle access points.
Role Responsibility :
Including but not limited to the following key tasks :
Ensure security standards are met and delivered to the highest standard.
Manage and enforce G4S standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and ensure compliance.
Manage the searching of passengers, crew and airport personnel to recognised standards.
Ensure staff understand their responsibilities in the event a prohibited item is identified.
Manage access control into restricted zones and maintain the landside / airside barrier.
Develop positive working relationships with Kuwait government agencies, MOI, and other stakeholders.
Provide timely and accurate information on daily operations to the G4S senior management.
Identify, develop and implement improvements that will further enhance security at KWI.
Respond and assist with contingency planning.
Allocate resources to meet the demand of increased passenger traffic, or to manage emergency situations
Mentor and coach aviation security staff
Liaise with authorities to ensure confiscations are accounted for and receipted as required.
Monitor staff on a daily basis and produce quarterly assessments.
Identify, develop and implement remedial staff training as required.
Implement G4S disciplinary action or grievance procedures as required.
Motivate staff and provide two-way communication, encourage feedback, and promote improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and customer service.
Ensure G4S health and safety standards are implemented.
Undertake additional duties as directed by G4S senior management.
The Ideal Candidate :
Educational Requirements / Qualifications :
Appropriate aviation security training through to a senior supervisor or equivalent level
ICAO aviation security audit and compliance qualifications (desirable)
University degree level education or equivalent (desirable).
An understanding of the Arabic language is desirable but not required
Minimum of five years previous aviation experience in an airport environment.
Be familiar with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Commission (EC) and international best practice standards relating to aviation security
Proven experience delivering aviation security outcomes at international airports
Experience working in culturally diverse environments.
