The Program / Project Specialist provides specialized, advanced support in the research, planning and implementation of program activities to meet program requirements.
Evaluates program / project status and makes recommendations to meet objectives. Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Ensures all program data is current and complete utilizing the current personnel database.
Analyzes database to verify / track the completion of program’s personnel (period of performance). Develops and plans best methods for meeting operation requirements.
Create and maintain cost plus travel files and appropriate coding in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Participates in outside audits. May be assigned to take the lead in some cases.
Monitors performance of assigned purchase order Line Items / CLIN.
Reviews and approves all assigned personnel tracking reports verifying content and compliance.
Compiles, copies and distributes various reports and documentation.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by senior management.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of various computer programs (i.e. Word, and Excel).
Experience working with spreadsheets.
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and other related federal and state legislation and regulations.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Additional knowledge / skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Experience & Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years’ experience working with contracts and / or program support.
Additional experience / education may be required by contract or assignment.
Physical Requirements / Working Environment
Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
Able to travel domestically and internationally
