The Program / Project Specialist provides specialized, advanced support in the research, planning and implementation of program activities to meet program requirements.

Evaluates program / project status and makes recommendations to meet objectives. Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

  • Ensures all program data is current and complete utilizing the current personnel database.
  • Analyzes database to verify / track the completion of program’s personnel (period of performance). Develops and plans best methods for meeting operation requirements.
  • Create and maintain cost plus travel files and appropriate coding in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participates in outside audits. May be assigned to take the lead in some cases.
  • Monitors performance of assigned purchase order Line Items / CLIN.
  • Reviews and approves all assigned personnel tracking reports verifying content and compliance.
  • Compiles, copies and distributes various reports and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and other practices set forth by senior management.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of various computer programs (i.e. Word, and Excel).
  • Experience working with spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and other related federal and state legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Additional knowledge / skills may be required by contract or assignment.
  • Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years’ experience working with contracts and / or program support.
  • Additional experience / education may be required by contract or assignment.
  • Physical Requirements / Working Environment

  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
  • Travel

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Administrative / Clerical
