IDS is seeking a Materials Control Supervisor (MCS) to support the â€œTask Force Safety Assessments for Fire and Electricityâ€ (TF SAFE) contract.
The Material Control Supervisor coordinates, supervises, and participates in the daily work of the Material Coordinators in the inventory warehouse including shipping and receiving, picking of parts for jobs and work orders, organizing the inventory in the stock room per the companyâ€™s ISO 9000 quality system, and is responsible for the accuracy of the on-hand inventory data.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Planning, acquisition and administration (at optimum balance of cost, quality, and supplier service) of material required to support the project.
Ensuring that purchased and repaired items are airworthy and have required certification documentation.
Evaluate suppliers through objective performance measurements and develop new sources of supply or repairs based upon quality and cost metrics.
Timely and cost-effective shipping of purchased or repaired items. Ensure items are prepared for shipping in a proper manner to protect against damage.
Establish policies and procedures based on objectives and provides guidance and policy direction in supply and equipment support.
Participate fully in the management of the supply system and develops plans, programs, and policies for the operations, management and administration of current supply programs.
Formulate policies, concepts and procedures to ensure that an effective supply operation is maintained.
Monitor and review the monthly inventory document for excessive gains / losses and initiates appropriate action as required.
The Materials Control Supervisor will perform management and operation of the EBOM containers.
Required Qualifications :
Three (3) years of warehousing / logistics related knowledge and / or training.
Experience in an OCONUS Army environment is required.
Be a licensed / certified Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operator, experience with 10,000 pounds capacity Telehandlers and forklifts.
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance or a LAA clearance.
Preferred Qualifications :
Active SECRET security clearance (DoD).
Familiarity with MAXIMO.
Computer Skills :
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
