Under the general guidance of the Project Manager and / or Project Supervisor, perform initial, in progress and final inspection of communication projects on military and contracting installations.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
1.Performs initial, in progress and final inspections on new infrastructure, current projects and existing communication installations (35%) 2.
Operates test equipment for quality inspection for checking grounding (20%)3.Works with Supervisors, Engineers and Operations on all projects (5%) 4.
trace finished drawings onto designated paper for reproduction. (5%) 6.Utilize AutoCad and communicate detailed drawings and designs when required (5%) 7.
Inspect / oversee the work of assigned Sub-Contracts / Sub-Contractors (10%)8.Enforce safety policies in day to day activities.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED : PC and Laptop computer with Microsoft Office software products, printers, scanners and various test equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Work is generally conducted out doors with some duties involving working inside. Outside work will have a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions, specifically desert heat.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire and Safety Regulations and published company work rules. Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs.
Working environment will be 70% outdoor, 30% indoor. Will be required to adhere to dress codes, maintaining a professional appearance, consistent with local customs and company policy.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : May be required to lift up to 40lbs, climbing, stooping, extended sitting or standing, working in a confined space area, or other physical efforts that are normally required.
In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements are required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Must be knowledgeable in cabling diagrams, manholes, hand holes and ducting systems5.Military or civilian technical training and / or experience as a technical inspector desirable6.
Certification by an accredited organization and / or equipment manufacturer at the journeyman level desirable7.Certified Auto Cad preferred8.
Must be a U.S. Citizen9.Must meet requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access10.Must be able to obtain a Kuwait driver’s license11.
Must maintain a valid Secret clearance12.Must have Customer service, DOD Information Assurance Awareness and Cross Domain Violation TrainingExperience : 1.
Approximately 2 - 3 years’ work experience as Technical Inspector2.Approximately 3 years’ experience in communication installation3.
Knowledge in the communication infrastructure and cabling system 4.Knowledge in manhole duct assignment and measuring the distance on maps5.
Knowledge in Protective Distribution System (PDS)6.Knowledgeable in reading map overlay and design, diagrams, and technical manuals 7.
work independently with little or no supervision.; possess high-level organizational and planning skills, possess the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
