The MaterielControl Supervisor (MCS) is responsible for the procurement of parts, tool / shopequipment accountability, and HAZMAT compliance.

This position reports to the Multi-purposeVehicle Mechanic Supervisor and supervises Materiel and Production ControlClerk(s). MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :

Responsible for management, execution, andpersonnel supervision of the Materiel Control function. Develops workscheduling and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.

Acts as the HAZMAT program manager to ensure alshops have current HAZMAT inventories and that their storage and disposal areasand procedures are in compliance.

Will also conduct HAZMAT training for newpersonnel.

Shall develop plans, programs, and policies for theoperations, management, and administration of current supply programs.

Shall formulate policies, concepts, and proceduresto ensure that an effective supply operation is maintained using personnel andequipment.

Shall monitor and review the monthly inventorydocument for excessive gains / losses and initiates appropriate action asrequired.

Responsible for implementing and following acomprehensive safety program in compliance with OSHA and United States AirForce (USAF) requirements.

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean,sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutterand trash in all working facilities and areas.

Shall perform as supplemental personnel in allscopes of work such as vehicle operations, materiel control, and fleetmanagement as needed.

Responsible for proper utilization and safeguardingof all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include governmentfacilities, equipment and tools).

Responsiblefor precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accuratecompletion of timesheet.

Performsother duties as assigned.

  • MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED : Utilizesa variety of shop tools and other general office equipment. May be exposed topotentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steeltoed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protectionequipment (PPE) such as flak vest and Kevlar helmet;
  • may be required to push,pull and lift heavy equipment. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations andpublished Company work rules.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Extensive interaction with the government customeris required. Work is generally conductedin a shop environment.

    However, dutiesmay involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potentialexposure to extreme climatic conditions such as, exposure to heat, cold, dust,and noise.

    Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractualneeds. Employee must comply with allFederal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as wellas written instructions.

    Task specific work environment training will beprovided as required . Must beprepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.

    S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : Work will require liftingup to 50 lbs., team lifting up to 100 lbs.

    stooping, climbing, prolongedstanding, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potentialcould exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.



    Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.

    High school diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’sdegree preferred.

    Must have knowledge of US Military vehicles andequipment, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations standards, and OEMrequirements.

    Must possess 4k thru 10k forklift experience.

    Must havea current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver’s License, prefer a CDL license.

    Mustbe capable of obtaining a flight line driver’s license.

    Musthave and be capable of maintaining a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearanceprior to deployment.

    Mustbe able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

    Musthave color vision.

    Mustbe able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements thatinclude psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.

    Candidates must successfully complete both onlineand hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defensetraining.

    Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD providedprotective gear.

    Experience :

    Shallhave a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in supervisory functions suchas supply policies and procedures, Air Force property accounting, stock and inventorycontrol, accountability and responsibility, principles of property accountingthrough manual or automated data processing (ADP), storage methods, warehousecontrol (receipt, issue, and disposal), materiel handling techniques, methodsof preparing and maintaining supply records, manual and automated supplyaccounting systems, logistics principles and interactions (supply, maintenance,transportation, and procurement) such as that of an AFSC 2S091.

    Skills :

    Functionalknowledge of ICOPARS, OLVIMS, DPAS, ETIMS, JCALS and CMMS systems.

    Good knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel,Word, and Power Point.

    Ableand willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements

    Military experience in a contingency environmentand knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
