GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Generator Mechanic in Southwest Asia. The ideal candidate will provide sustainment maintenance and perform periodic PMCS maintenance on all types of Elevated Sensors generators ranging in size from 2kW to 100kW.
You must possess the required skill sets training and knowledge to work on the generator engines associated electrical components and be able to test the functionality of each generator.
You will perform operational checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshoot faults, remove and replace components, service generators, remove and replace fluids, make adjustments and alignments, use hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC / DC voltmeters and, ohms meters.
be able to input data into databases and be able to retrieve data to perform maintenance or provide reports as requested.
You will follow directions from the Shop Lead, Site Lead, and Elevated Sensors Operations Manager in performance of your duties which includes other duties as assigned.
You must have a current active secret U.S. clearance, U.S. passport and a valid driver's license and expect, and be able to, travel to outlying sites via military conveyance to troubleshoot, test, repair and provide training on generators in the field that are forward located.
