Under supervision of the Material Maintenance Manager, supervises production, planning and control (PP&C) and management of maintenance scheduling of maintenance commodity shops.
Supervises readiness and contingency planning. Monitors production for compliance with scheduling directives and standards driven by field level and contingency maintenance missions as required by the government.
Supervises the Shop Supply functions. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES : 1. Manages receipt, control and processing of all on-line and off-line work orders.
to include generating GCSS-A reports, NMC Reports, schedule and unscheduled maintenance reports, open document register report, reconciliation report, equipment PMCS, maintenance request forms, and other required reports or documents managed in GCSS-A.
3. Advises the Maintenance Manager on the status of workload and scheduling effectiveness, proposes corrective action for workload imbalances and backlogs.
Prepares and presents briefings on maintenance related activities.4. Prepares job descriptions for all members of Production Control Section, detailing employees as needed to jobs other than their own.
Interviews candidates for vacancies and recommends selections to the Maintenance Manager.5. Performs employee counseling, initially, periodically and as required.
6. Produces reports to include but not limited to Critical Parts Listings, 02 Due-In Listings, and ad-hoc queries. Participates by conducting maintenance report briefings to the USG to include all aspects of parts requisitioning and expediting.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED : Personal computer, printers, calculator, FAX machine, copy machine and other general office equipment, office automation, STAMIS software, Microsoft Office WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Generally conducted in an office or shop environment but duties may involve outdoor activities with the potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work will require work in areas where potential exists for exposure to extreme ambient temperatures. Work related activities may require use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Compliance required with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and Company work policies. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : Work may require light lifting, stooping, climbing, standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent. Military or Civilian equivalent certification in STAMIS operations (GCSS-A Plant Maintenance / Unit Supply).
DD214 required to verify Military service and training Experience : 4-6 years of maintenance experience with 2-3 years in an upper level leadership capacity of a similar project / department / branch related to these functions of a Base Operations Support Services contract.
Solid background in automated data process system input and Field / Sustainment level maintenance. Skills :
