HVAC / Appliance Mechanic - Kuwait
PAE is seeking an HVAC / Appliance Mechanic for a position supporting the Air Force on a program in Kuwait. The HVAC / Appliance Mechanic will be responsible for operation, maintenance and repair (OM&R) of site appliances & HVAC systems using technical orders, commercial practices and technical references / manuals as required for corrective maintenance actions including ordering parts, installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing / repairing / replacing units, and conducting preventative maintenance to maintain warranties IAW international, US, Air Force and PWS criteria.
The HVAC / Appliance Mechanic will maintain compliance to properly manage hazardous waste and material in handling and disposal in accordance with EPA.
The HVAC / Appliance Mechanic will be responsible for communicating of requirements, testing, outages, with Program leadership related to systems, including meeting all reporting requirements as stated in PWS and may be directed to attend remedial training within the maintenance area to enhance daily operations.
The HVAC / Appliance Mechanic will respond to any requests of the Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.
The HVAC / Appliance Mechanic shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Associate degree or equivalent experience.
WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS
This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere environment.
climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
