Responsible for performing a variety of electrical tradefunctions such as the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair ofequipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of high voltageelectric energy.
Maintains electrical systems and components of electricalpower distribution and generating equipment. Performs operations andmaintenance duties to maintain power to telecommunications equipment andmaintains the facility’s physical electrical distribution system in goodrepair.

Installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for thegeneration, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
Installing or repairing any of a variety of electricalequipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuitbreakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmissionequipment.
Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or otherspecifications.
Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system orequipment.
Working standard computations relating to load requirementsof wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's handtools and measuring and testing instruments.
Inspects, maintains and repairs high voltage primary and lowvoltage secondary power distribution systems, sub stations, transformers,circuit breakers, switches, fused disconnects insulators, grounding systems,power poles, aboveand undergroundsystems, security and street lighting.
Diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment,working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring orelectrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools andmeasuring and testing instruments.
Working knowledge of Exterior Secondary Power Distribution,Interior Secondary Power Distribution, Interior, Exterior, Perimeter and AreaLighting, Access Control System, Lightning Protection System, GroundingSystems.
Knowledge of MIL Standards and DOD customers is required.Must have excellent communications skills.
Experience with generator produced power and switchingsystems producing greater than 500v.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED :
Computers, Microsoft Office, and other software products asrequired and standard office equipment / machinery.Hand and power tools, multi-meters, othertest equipment as required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
Work is generally conducted in an office environment and atproject work areas. Duties, however, may involve the conduct of work outdoorswith potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
May be required to workother than standard work hours to ensure effective customer support.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
Work could require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping;climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areaswhere a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biologicalagents.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required iscertain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso,respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with OSHA, EPA,Fire Regulations and published Company work rules
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : Two years related experience maybe substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High school education or equivalent.Accredited professional trade school orsuccessful completion of apprenticeship program.
experiencemust have been under the direct supervision of a qualifying electrician for alicensed electrical contractor. Electrical work experience shall includeelectrical installation in commercial and industrial categories and mustinclude work with High Voltage systems.
Skilled working in ateam-oriented environment and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills atvarious levels of an organization
