Individual will work directly under the SupplySupervisor or Lead and perform day by day operations and all assigned task insupport of the retrograde operations.
Responsible to receive store, inventory,and issue expendable items products to various military customers.Manage accounts and financial transactions tosupport supply operations in theater.
Afunctional, comprehensive working knowledge of the US Army Supply System,including both Wholesale and Retail Operations is a desired but not mandatory trait.
A working knowledge of warehouse operations is required.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt ofitems on requisition or invoices.
Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance tospecifications. Store material in bins, on the floor, on shelves, or incontainers according to identifying information.
Fill orders or issue supplies from stock. Prepareperiodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment,adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, damage, or shelf life tostock, location changes, and denial of shipments.
Prepares daily CDRL’s for Inventory, Receipts,Issues, and others as required by the Performance Work Statement.
Mark identifying codes, figures, or letters onarticles, using labeling equipment.
Make adjustments to articles carried in stock. Maydetermine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, consideringtemperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities,and required space.
Move or transports material or supplies to otherdepartments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck.
Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive andPilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all ArmyRegulations and local policy.
Maintain inventory and other stock records, usingcomputer terminal. Designated according to material, equipment, or product stored,i.
e. Retail or wholesale, serviceable or unserviceable items.
Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipmentand supplies for disposal
Ensure that all employees are always in compliancewith all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
Will always ensure safeguarding of all ArmyProperty and Equipment.
Perform other administrative tasks as determined bythe Supervisor or at the direction of the Retrograde Manager.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED :
Personal computer, printer, fax machine and othergeneral office equipment and MHE.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
Indoor and / or outdoorenvironment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desertenvironment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environmentconditions as well.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
Must be physically capable of lifting 40 pounds avertical distance of four feet and carrying
this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet.
May be required to work an uncommon scheduleincluding nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work extended hours and evenings,as mission requires.
Must have professional appearance
Required to observe all safety, security, fire,environmental, and health requirements for Retrograde / Warehouse Operations andoutside environment.
Working with or in areas where a potential could existfor exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE)is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to. head, foot,torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Three (3) years specialized experience in warehousingand supply operations desired or comparable civilian experience. Must haveserved in position of increased responsibility encompassing program planningand supervisory experience.
Supply management experience is mandatory)
Minimum of 2 Years’ experience with MilitaryStandard Requisition and Issuing Procedures (MILSTRIP) or equivalent civilianprogram is required.
Atleast Two (2) Years working experience in GCSS Army is plus
Must have working knowledge of Retrograde / Warehouse Operations
Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storagerequirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class isrequired.
Leadership and management skills, including aprofessional demeanor, are required.
Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgementis required.
Ability to prioritized responsibilities to handle ademanding workload is required.
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyis required.
Advance ability to communicate in English, bothverbally and in written form is required.
High-level organizational and planning skills, sothat workflow is managed and accurate is required.
Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook andALL Microsoft applications is required.
Must be able tolearn and operate ARMY AIS systems
Clearance / License :
A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtaina U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s Licenseare required.
Must be able to maintain USG Network access &CAC card privilege(s).
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secrete levelclearance
