The VehicleOperator (VO) is responsible for the safe operation of various vehicles and equipmentfor a base operating support services task order.
Vehicles operated include,but not limited to, shuttle bus, taxi, forklift, wrecker, and MHE (cranes,dozers, large excavators, backhoes, bobcats, t-rex units, etc.
This positionreports to the Vehicle Operations Supervisor and Vehicle Operations ControlCenter Supervisor. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
Operates / drives all vehicles safely andeconomically, extending full courtesies to protocol supported missions byassisting in loading / unloading of baggage and opening / closing of doors asrequired.
Conforms to all installation and OSHA rules andregulations and ensures that seatbelts are worn in vehicles so equipped.
Maintains passenger, mileage and transport recordsas input to daily, weekly and monthly activity reports.
Assists the Dispatcher during Silent hours tooperate all common vehicles / equipment.
Performs inspections using AF Form 1800 and reportsmaintenance issues in accordance with vehicle requirements and establishedprocedures.
Provides on-call response after hours as needed tomeet unscheduled or surge requirements.
Performs as supplemental personnel in all scopes ofwork such as vehicle operations, materiel control, and fleet management asneeded.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary,healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trashin all working facilities and areas.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguardingof all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include governmentfacilities, equipment and tools).
Responsiblefor precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accuratecompletion of timesheet.
Performsother duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED : Commonvehicles and equipment as directed and licensed to operate. General office equipment.
may be required to push,pull and lift heavy equipment. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations andpublished Company work rules.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Extensive interaction with the government customeris required. Work is generally conductedin an outdoor environment with a potential exposure to extreme climaticconditions such as, exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
Overtime and shiftwork may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, Stateand Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as writteninstructions.
Task specific work environment training will be provided asrequired . Must be prepared tofunction in a wartime environment to support U.
S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs., teamlifting up to 100 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by thisjob include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Prefer knowledge of US Military vehicles andequipment, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations standards, and OEMrequirements.
Must havea current, valid U. S. Passport, U. S. Driver’s License, CDL license, andcapable of obtaining a flight line driver’s license.
Musthave and be capable of maintaining a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearanceprior to deployment.
Mustbe able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Mustbe able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements thatinclude psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
Candidates must successfully complete both onlineand hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defensetraining.
Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD providedprotective gear.
Shallhave a minimum of three (3) years of experience vehicle operation.
Preferexperience with any of the following systems : ICOPARS, OLVIMS, DPAS, ETIMS,JCALS and CMMS.
Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel andWord.
Ableand willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
Military experience in a contingency environmentand knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
OtherClearance Level required at Start Date : Secret
