ABOUT THE JOB
I help to make sure IKEA FOOD helps the IKEA store sell more IKEA home furnishings products in our markets. Among other tasks, this involves generating store traffic, converting visitors to customers, contribute to a day out for the whole family, and strengthen the low-
price profile and the Swedish identity of the IKEA store.
I coordinate, secure, implement and maintain IKEA FOOD areas for New Stores, Existing business and Rebuilds using the IKEA FOOD recommended standard equipment and standard layouts to support the IKEA position as the leading home furnishings company.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and on time delivery of safe and efficient new build and rebuild in all IKEA FOOD units in line with the concept, guidelines, and manuals, with minimum impact on the daily retail operation.
Comply with IKEA FOOD recommended standard equipment and standard layouts regarding standardized solutions and operations during the planning and building stages.
Ensure a safe working environment for co-workers and customers in line with local legislation and the IKEA Health and Safety policy.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the IKEA FOOD and national Business Plan / expansions with support and coordination from other different units, and accordingly develop and deliver your own Action plan.
Formulate the IKEA FOOD tender documentation , oversee the tender process and ensure overall budgetary compliance and ensure the economic management of the build and planning process.
Make investment requests on new stores and rebuilds. Use the existing IKEA FOOD recommended standard equipment.
Coordination between parties
Coordinate between Contractors, Suppliers, Stores, Construction, IKEA Food Services AB, Service office and the Project team from drawing to opening and follow up.
Guide & support the IKEA FOOD Manager through a rebuild, liaise with Service Office regarding a new store build.
Responsible for giving feedback to IKEA Food Services AB on any suggested changes of the standardization of national equipment and operation.
Support stores with equipment and services maintenance / replacement and keeping the standards as per IKEA.
Review the country adapted standard layout / equipment together with IKEA Food Services AB annually.
Successful experience of 5 years as a minimum on a managerial regional level in food service experience involving new stores planning, builds and national expansion.
Excellent and proven management and leadership skills.
Technical skills in interpreting and working with technical drawings.
Experience in setting and implementing action plans, setting budgets and following up goals.
Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English.
High communication skills.
Computer proficient. (MS Excel, word and PowerPoint)
