Responsible to the Maintenance Director. Coordinates Field Maintenance Support (FMS) departments maintenance requirements with field-level maintenance and limit sustainment-level maintenance direct capabilities within designated priorities.
Monitors high priority work orders, Not Mission Capable Supply (NMCS) and Not Mission Capable Maintenance (NMCM) time and work orders over 30 days old to formulate appropriate recommended action.
Expedites parts when required. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
Makes recommendations to Maintenance Manager on corrective action required.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED : Automation tools; materiel handling equipment; test & diagnostic tools. WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Work is generally conducted in a shop environment.
However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required is certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : The work requires regular and recurring physical exertion related to frequent inspections and surveys requiring considerable standing, walking, climbing, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching or similar movements.
Occasionally, there may be a need to lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs. The work may require some degree of agility and dexterity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education / Certifications : One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High School graduate or equivalent. Formal military or civilian training in equipment maintenance procedures. Experience : Five years experience in equipment maintenance and supply or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least one year supervisory responsibilities.
Skills : Excellent organization and communications skills, both written and verbal, are required. Must be computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft office.
Knowledge of Government information systems (GIS) is an advantage. SUPERVISORY / BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES : None
