The Multi-purposeVehicle Mechanic Supervisor (MVMS) is responsible for the overall performanceof the Vehicle Maintenance Services department including scheduling ofpersonnel, work supervision and quality control.
The MVMS shall ensure work iscompleted safely and efficiently according to the performance work statement.Service provided shall include, performing inspections, repairs and maintenanceof general-purpose vehicles, and light and heavy-duty construction equipment,materiel control and fleet management.
This position reports to the SiteManager. MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
Responsible for management, execution, andpersonnel supervision of associated maintenance requirements such asinspection, diagnostics, repair, modification, and data collection for thevehicle and equipment in accordance with the performance work statement.
Shall plan, organize, inspect, and direct vehiclemanagement activities.
Shall ensure adequate personnel, tools; equipment,spare parts, and work space are available to ensure efficient use of resources.
Shall oversee maintenance activities responsiblefor vehicle repair, analysis, training, and parts procurement to ensureeffective use of maintenance resources.
Analyze maintenance reports, past and currentperformance, and inspection reports to ensure cost effective operations, timelypreventive maintenance, and repairs of vehicular equipment.
Initiatescorrective actions to resolve problems, prevent delays and guarantee customersatisfaction.
Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive safetyprogram in compliance with OSHA, Vectrus, and United States Air Force (USAF)requirements.
Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean,sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutterand trash in all working facilities and areas.
Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, flexible,and properly documented training program.
Shall be capable of using diagnostic testequipment, and of accurately diagnosing and repairing assigned electroniccontrolled equipment and shall repair, adjust, overhaul, or replace majorassemblies or sub-assemblies such as power and drive trains, electrical, airconditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering assemblies, tracks, hydraulicsystem components, and equipment attachments as needed.
Shallensure assigned tool kits are maintained and inventoried daily.
Responsiblefor maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professionalatmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities andareas.
Responsiblefor completing and maintaining all required training programs.
Responsiblefor proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractorprovided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment andtools).
Responsiblefor precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accuratecompletion of timesheet.
Performsother duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED : Utilizes a variety of shop tools; also uses apersonal computer, scanner, copier, printer and other general office equipment.
may berequired to push, pull and lift heavy equipment. Must comply with OSHA, EPA,Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT : Extensive interaction with the government customeris required. Work is generally conductedin a shop environment.
However, dutiesmay involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potentialexposure to extreme climatic conditions such as, exposure to heat, cold, dust,and noise.
Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractualneeds. Employee must comply with allFederal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as wellas written instructions.
Task specific work environment training will beprovided as required . Must beprepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.
S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES : Work will require liftingup to 50 lbs., team lifting up to 100 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’sand / or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
EPA certified in Air Conditioning.
Must have knowledge of US Air Force Militaryvehicles and equipment, OSHA, ANSI, ASME, military regulations standards, andOEM requirements.
Must havea current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver’s License, prefer a CDLlicense.
Mustbe capable of obtaining a flight line driver’s license.
Musthave and be capable of maintaining a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearanceprior to deployment.
Mustbe able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
Musthave color vision.
Mustbe able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements thatinclude psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
Candidates must successfully complete both onlineand hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defensetraining.
Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD providedprotective gear.
Shall have a minimum of ten years of experience in insupervisory and management of a vehicle fleet and / or vehicle management,consistent with the Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2T390.
Management experience to include : supervisionof employees, completed required reports, and dealing professionally with thecustomer.
Must have two years of experience working on 25KHalverson vehicle types.
Excellent communication, analytical, projectmanagement and supervisory skills.
Functionalknowledge of ICOPARS, OLVIMS, DPAS, ETIMS, JCALS and CMMS systems.
Proficient in using Microsoft programs such asExcel, Word, and Power Point.
Ableand willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
Military experience in a contingency environmentand knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
OtherClearance Level required at Start Date : Secret
