Versar, Inc. will provide technical services including inspections, assessments, repairs, reports and training for facilities throughout Afghanistan.
Services include electrical inspection and repairs of LIFE / HEALTH / Safety (LHS) deficiencies, fire prevention assessment and training, storage handling of Government Property / Contractor Acquired Property (GP / CAP), construction and operations related inspections and assessments.
The work will take place at existing US Military and coalition occupied facilities within Kuwait.
Position Responsibilities :
The Quality Specialist will possess documented training and licensure as an electrician in directly related work who can address overall quality assurance, quality auditing, or process improvement.
The Quality Specialist assures overall quality of contract deliverables and general contract compliance. The candidate will work closely with US Army personnel for issues related to quality and reporting. Tasks will include :
Overall quality assurance for electrical repairs, inspections, and reporting
Technical Oversight and Review
The Quality Specialist shall have no less than 5 years of electrical / construction experience.
Candidate must have exceptional computer skills in common business software including email, spreadsheets and document (MS-Outlook, MS-Excel, MS-Project, and MS-Word or equivalent).
International experience and CENTCOM specific experience is preferred.
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Licensed Master Electrician by U.S. state, municipality, or territory or equivalent qualifications / certifications for states that do not issue licenses.
Additional Information :
The candidate must have the ability to work under austere conditions throughout CENTCOM and specifically Afghanistan.
Must pass a medical screening physical.
The candidate must pass a background check and be cleared by the US government before deployment.
The candidate must possess a valid US Passport with a minimum of 18 months before expiration.
The work locations are on US Bases in Afghanistan and the quality of life support is moderate. Candidates should expect to work six days a week, 12 hours a day and then live / sleep in facilities similar to those provided to US Military personnel.
This typically includes living in one or two person trailers or rooms with shared bathrooms.
All meals, life support, transportation, and security will be provided by the US Government.
The candidate must commit to a one-year employment term in Afghanistan. During this term, the candidate will receive two, two-week Rest and Relaxation periods outside of the country.
Standard US wages will be uplifted for hazardous working conditions, remote working conditions, and an elevated work week of 72 hours per week.
