POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the general direction of the Finance Director responsible for providing management with budget and forecast versus actual cost analysis to assist with analysis that contributes to cost effective accounting management control over the project financial records reported against the program budget.
Assist with the overall financial services and accounting tasks associated with the K-BOSSSS contract to provide accurate, timely, reliable services and reports.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES :
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED :
Personal computer, (Microsoft Office products), printers, calculator, copy machine and other general office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
Work may require light lifting, stooping, climbing, standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Bachelor degree in Business Administration with related majors.
Five or more years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Budgeting department.Additional experience with cost accounting preferred.
Must be knowledgeable of accounting period start and end dates and related accruals and accrual reversals.
Knowledge of automated financial systems. Specific knowledge regarding cost accounting data within financial systems is required.
