POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible to the Production,Plans & Control Supervisor for the shop supply section located under theField Maintenance Support Department.
Ensures that systems are in place andfollowing the required guidance founded in current supply documents such asAR’s, DA-
PAM’s, Supply Updates and numerous others. Conducts spot checks onfunctional areas of the MCS, 10% Inventory Programs and Property Accountabilityprocesses.
Make contact with internal and external customers to resolve issuesencountered with supply and materials. Maintains assigned GFE to supportmission requirements.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES
1.Assists Production, Plans &Control Supervisor in planning and coordinating area workloads to optimize useof resources to include personnel, equipment, tools and facilities.
2.Establishes programs to meetnormal mission and contingency mission requirements as required.
3.Prepares, analyzes and briefsreports as requires. Recommends solutions to problems.
4.Indicated by analysis of trends,indicators, potential problems or those identified by Management and / or thecompany.
5.Ensures all required reports aresubmitted accurately and on-time.
6.Responsible for the efficient useand monitoring of SAMS-1E at Supply.
7.Provides management direction andoversight to include overseeing day to day supply operations. This may includebut is not limited to storage, inventories, and preparation of all supportingdocumentation.
8.Works with and in conjunction withother sections to accomplish all required tasking or inventories.
9.Monitors work performance of theemployees to ensure they are in compliance with the PWS and all Armyregulations pertaining to their assigned tasking.
10.Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with allestablished Safety Policies and Regulations.
11.Ensures safeguarding of all Army Property and Equipment.
12.Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENTDIRECTLY USED :
Officeautomation, Excel, Microsoft Office, and SAMS-1E.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT :
Work is generally conducted in a shop environment. However,duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with apotential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES :
Work may require heavy liftingup, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working withor in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical orbiological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) isrequired for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot,torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply withall Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted forone year of education, if degree is required.
Three (3) years of specializedexperience in supply operations. Have served in positions of increasingresponsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience.
