About the Role : An exciting role has arisen for a Conference & Events Executive to join the team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.
You will be responsible for handling all incoming groups and events inquiries and effectively leading the customer through the sales process to the point of a signed contract or offer. Main Duties :
Conducts site inspection effectively and professionally with thorough knowledge of clients’ needs and hotel products
Answers all incoming group and event inquiries / opportunities
Qualifies each business opportunity
Determines availability of space and rates according to yield management principles and knowledge of business pace
Presents benefits of the hotel to the client
Enlarging clients' needs to further improvement revenue yields
Conduct comprehensive and customized site inspections with the event management / conference servicing team
Develop and send out concise and accurate contracts
Proper hand over of event to event management / conference servicing
Ensures deposits are received
To meet measurable targets and revenue goals (individual and team)
Have excellent product knowledge of function space, audio-visual equipment, capacities, guest room inventory, room rates and menus
Be accountable for all targets and goals set for area of responsibility
Produces proposal, contracts and other related booking tools
Prepares all sales documentation accurately
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by management related to current role.
About You :
Business or related degree from Internationally recognized tertiary institution
At least 1 year experience in a Conference & Events Sales Executive or similar role
Preferably worked in a 5 star luxury hotel
Experience working in Kuwait or GCC
Competent in English language. Arabic language is desirable
Sales driven with proven ability to close sales and achieve results
Excellent communication, interpersonal relationships, and time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong and outgoing personality and good negotiation skills
Strong team player
Confident, friendly and approachable manner
Must be articulate and attention to details
